The wax solenoid controls your idle speed. It uses coolant to pull a plunger in to lower the idle speed. The piece the plunger hits must be adjusted properly to have proper hot and cold idle speeds....

The wax solenoid is a PITA. Sometimes it fails to high idle, sometimes it failed to low idle, sometime it just does dumb stuff. And they are expensive!

Ko and Ko2 tires are amazing. Been a long time since I've seen Michelins on a rig. They are expensive. I agree with caddie. Plus, the BFG Ko and KO2 are rated as traction devices for the snow.

Age is taking it toll on my poor old truck. The little rubber nub that keeps the fuel door from rattling broke off while I was cleaning the inside of the fuel filler area. Life it rough.
