You're really not getting droop by jacking up from the axle. Your best check is with the wheels on the ground and check the gap, then jack up the truck and place the frame on jack stands and measure...

No. The center section contains the ring/pinion set up. So depending on the size of the ring gear will depend on the size of the center section.

i.e. HG center section contains the 233mm ring...

I really don't recall if the axles were a tad wider or not. Most j/ys you can get a complete axle for 150-300 depending on location. They may be a direct swap or you may have to move the leaf...

IIRC, unscrew the 2 screws to the body then you should see the screw to the window. The nut portion is on the outside of the window. You should not be able to turn the nut.
