Maybe because 96 97 trucks were only avaialble 4cyl. I have had 3 4wd pathy trucks with 4.375. 2 were stick and one was auto.

I have a socketed 90 Stanza ecm that has no tune on it yet. The biggest difference between those and the truck ecms.was the Stanza has pinouts for a Consult port.

This is correct. All the 4cyl 2wd trucks got the small brake setup. The 2wd v6 trucks got bigger rotors and 2 piston calipers. They have the same hubs as the 4cyl trucks though allowing for this...

The vg33er clutch has higher clamping force than even the tt stock, i researched that route too but went with the Exedy setup. You can go with the TT setup but it requires the NA flywheel to work.

That looks more like an early 86.5 wheel. Loosen the center nut but leave it on. Grab and shake the wheel. If no go you will need to use a puller.

Looks like the oil got hot. Nothing looks terrible, just stained. The rocker arm pads look like they are only making partial contact with the cam. How do the rockers themselves look?
