Check codes and may as well do a quick tuneup...

Check codes and may as well do a quick tuneup while your in there (cap/plugs/wires and fuel filter)

If the tuneup doesn't sorted, I would look at the MAF (which should be throwing a code)

Does the radiator fit under the core support/leave enough room between pulleys, have room for a fan (shrouded puller is your best bet), and have the rad fill as the highest point in the cooling...

Pretty much - be sure the rad cap is the high point of the cooling system (level or front end elevated)

I use the bleed screw while its running as well. Crack it a few times until it runs out...
