Ignition control module overheating
 

Whats up!! New to the fourm. Im pulling my hair out my 1988 d21 wont start the icm on the exhaust side is getting hot when the ignition switch is in accessory position!! It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can give any advice.

I would assume that means the icm is bad.

Same year as my truck, and same problem. Did you find a fix? I'm still figuring it out myself but I'll let you know if I solve it.
