high angle steering knuckles, d21 d22

UPDATE: On line store created.

order yours at http://Missileworksllc.com

Cores not required

about the parts

these are tig welded pieces and require hardly any fabrication for installation. i dont have angle numbers yet, but i will tell you they far surpass the 37* steering i once had, they make your steering alot more responsive but as a trade off it is harder to turn, and will be tough on your tires.

1. you will need to trim your old steering stop out.
2. you will need an alignment.
3. you might have to bang out your wheel wells (i dont have inner wheel wells so i dont know).
4. Kits will come with extended brake lines

Damn that's CRAZY! Good job bro

pejsa HB 07-26-2011 06:20 PM

thanks man

JOHN92 07-26-2011 06:40 PM

That's cool. The only problem I see is that if you have drop spindles, you're beat. Mine are all one piece.

pejsa HB 07-26-2011 06:50 PM

if you send me drop spindles im sure me and my welder eric can make it work

beebani 07-27-2011 12:16 AM

Dude, that looks good, but I hope you welded it with the right rod, those are cast and if not welded right will snap right off under load.

pejsa HB 07-27-2011 02:34 AM

there done proper my friend

beebani 07-27-2011 02:41 AM

That's good, jus lookin out for ya.

pejsa HB 07-27-2011 05:25 AM

right on, sounds good

pejsa HB 08-02-2011 12:09 AM

ok original post has been edited i have had a chance to track test the knuckles and they ROCK!!!

normally i would have to pick my line really carefully and normally push a really shallow line, with these i was able to swing alot wider with alot more angle.. pretty much just let go of the wheel, counter over, and it held its own line perfect!!!!

a ton more forgiving with these.

godzilla 08-04-2011 07:00 AM

dude ,im so going to get mine done like this. thanks man. i love the diy ideas and thinking out of the box. keep it up .im also a believer in building a low budget drifter. after all we do it to have fun.

craig98 10-13-2011 08:38 PM

okay im a little confused on where you are welding on the knuckles. can i goet like side by side shot of a factory one and your high angle one?

pejsa HB 10-16-2011 08:15 PM

you cant tell by the pics on the first page? i dont understand what your confused about, we take the stock knuckles and bring the tie rod mount in towards the hub a little over an inch

speedoholic 12-17-2011 08:42 PM

So what is stopping your wheels from turning further at this point?

schmauster920 12-18-2011 08:48 PM

The frame has always been my fav stopper lol

Ive got 255/65/16 and they stop by hitting the frame with stock steering... of course if i used spacers or a better offset it wouldnt be an issue. I am one of the few, stock ride height tall tire crew. lol

speedoholic 12-20-2011 12:57 AM

I ment to ask, with the modified knuckles, what stops it? Tires hitting frame or tension rods or what?

pejsa HB 01-07-2012 11:35 PM

steering gear box stops it. im about 1/2" from my tire hitting my tc rod

famed21 02-20-2012 08:14 AM

nice work

ZenkiGuy 05-26-2012 12:03 AM

These are amazing pejsa! I'll get with you once I want to change mine over. what's the offset on your steelies?

pejsa HB 06-04-2012 12:27 AM

15x8.5 0-offset

maykelcj 08-17-2012 06:29 AM

quick question... what are those coilovers you got on the front? I have been looking for something like that since I got my truck. My truck came lowered on the torsion bars and pinto shocks, but it rides to soft for me. thanks.

edit: this is related to the coilovers in the pictures here, I saw your build thread and now it's all custom. If you still have these somewhere, I could take them off your hands if the price is right.

either PM him or go to his build thread and ask this is for his steering knuckles

horridbulldog 02-03-2013 02:33 AM

Why are these harder on tires? like they where out faster for daily drivin or just drifting?

pejsa HB 02-03-2013 02:44 AM

It a little hard on the tires due to the extra angle at full lock causes the tires to scrub a little. And the ackerman angle is changed. Causing more wear in the inside tire while turning in either direction.

horridbulldog 02-03-2013 03:00 AM

oh okay will this wear out tires noticably faster?

pejsa HB 02-03-2013 03:37 AM

From my experience drifting..... yes! But if your buying drift car parts you don't complain about buying tires..... daily driving tire wear was a little accelerated. And with my truck having a welded diff. That was just adding the the wear. Everyone is going to have different results due to driving habbits and other vehicle modifications.

IThaJokaI 03-25-2013 09:27 PM

Why don't you modify the jig to have a little less ackerman then, that much ackerman on the following wheel isn't wanted. Especially considering it has more angle than the leading wheel, you want a little less angle on the following wheel to help with wheel return during transitions.

pejsa HB 03-26-2013 04:14 AM

There is less turn in on the following wheel. It would be almost physically impossible to have the leading wheel turn less than the other....

IThaJokaI 04-12-2013 04:29 PM

Must be the pictures, seems like your trailing wheel has more angle. Might be because I can see the rim face though.

integramike94 07-08-2013 09:38 AM

Still making these

kinglame 10-13-2013 04:36 PM

I live out hee in socal iv seen you drift Adams sideways Sunday
If I where to dive to you and take these in how long would they be done

pejsa HB 10-13-2013 08:25 PM

I live in colorado now. So you would have to mail them

kinglame 09-30-2014 02:48 PM

so I made my own knuckles by looking at your thread dude I love the way they feel on the track I could swing out as wide as I want and not spin out and keep going on my little single ham (KA)

pejsa HB 05-07-2015 01:47 AM

Update in original post. Now you can purchase off my website and I don't require cores to be sent to me.

hard-one 05-08-2015 01:43 AM

I'll be putting 2" drop spindles on my HB as soon as I get my truck ready to touch the ground again. Would you be able to mod the spindles for me? I saw a few posts about people wanting to send you their drop spindles but haven't seen anything yet on weather or not you figured out how to make it work. If it's possible let me know. Thanks!

pejsa HB 05-09-2015 05:41 AM

It's absolutely possible for me to do. Pm me if your serious

hard-one 05-10-2015 09:53 PM

Pm sent

Damageduluth218 03-25-2016 04:57 PM
