Slant 6 or 318 Swap 96' Hardbody

I have been given a slant six motor out of an old chrysler Dart. and a 318 out of a buddies Rx-7. I am interested in doing a motor swap and would like to stick with these if at all possible. I am willing to relocate the radiator and trans cooler around to make room as well as knock out the firewall. the slant six is a motor I have loved for a long time and delivers mass amounts of torque. Any advice is gladly accepted. Thanks.

Either way you are gonna have to make it fit. Might as well go for the one you want.

slant 6 will be too long to fit in the engine bay. you will have to cut the firewall for it to fit.

318 is an underrated engine. There is a way to get 400 hp from one without going broke in the process.

400 hp in a hardbody will make it fly.

Fitting an i6 will be an endeavor... and sound like a tractor when your done ;)

Are the dimensions of the 318 similar to a SBC? what are the trans options?

local kids slant setup - pretty cool!
