?Non Nissan/ Non Aftermarket salvage yard sway bar Mod?

This application would be on my truck Crusty, a 91HB with now 47k miles.

I was rembering a friend running Ford f250 sway bars on the rear of the VW Bus he was Frankensteining, thing drove like it was on rails for an old bread box bus.

So I'm wondering if anyone here has tried similar to their HB? Doing all this on a really tight budget and have access to salvage yards here in central Texas with loads of variety.

So, did you try it? What did you use? Pics of your non Nissan/ non aftermarket sway bar mod?

Thanks Folks,
Will

s14 240 bars can work with a little modification, im running an aftermarket godspeed one on my 240 they are pretty beefy and only like 100 bucks on ebay with the bushings and mounts - they are a dirrect fit to the hardbody just need to modify endlinks to make them work

100.00 bucks! That's right where I wanna be!

I'm going to take a serious look at that. How did you mod the endlinks? Got any pics? Thanks for that info!

Crazy:
Same town as you, lovely, wretched San Antonio. Where all I like about this place is the Mexican food and the Spurs. Lived here all my life with the exception of a couple years in Dallas and Houston. Pretty much ready to move to the East Coast..........

i acctually just made these brackets to bolt the stock hardbody endlinks to the s14 bar, but really im almost certain you could find a factory endlink off of anouther vehicle that would work. i just didnt feel like doing a bunch of digging and thought this would be easier.

I think your right about digging around but I think I might have an idea from what you've shown. BMW has some pretty long links, I think on a 7 series that might work.

not only that but they have to be the strait through bushing style on the bottom and the balljoint sideways type on the top

I hate to ask this and drag something out of the depths of the internet, but would you possibly be able to rehost your pictures to a place that will allow linking. Photobucket dropped their 3rd party linking now. They should still be in your photobucket account.
