No more lurking for me!

Hello from Germany. I am Uncle Jimmy and I moved here from the US over 4 years ago and will be remaining in Germany for the rest of my life. I currently drive a 2003 Nissan 350z. I had a 93 Hardbody back in 1993. It was my first new vehicle when I started my career and now that I'm finally going to retire, I'm looking to complete the loop. I'm glad to be in the community now, because Search is my best friend and I've lurked long enough to know that everyone here has put out some great information. 95-97 Hardbody is in my scopes to be purchased in the next few months. I will be simply looking to restore to stock perfection.

Does Germany have a strong "mini truck" presence? or do people over there not care much abt our HB?

h.stickeye 01-09-2018 08:47 PM

u don't see many trucks in general, not like Australia anyway. Never lived in the USA so I can't compare to that.

jimmy, where in Deutschland do u live?

Welcome to the site.

I'm in Wiesbaden. It's about 20 miles west of Frankfurt. It's not that people here aren't into mini trucks, they're just mostly interested in wannabe "Fast and Furious" cars and can I make my exhaust louder than yours. They are also interested in can my car go more than 300kph. It would be almost impossible to find a good 90's HB that is not rusted out.

It's a shame you guys (in Europe) has some very unique hardbodies that I've never heard of. Like Diesel and quad cab versions.
