Crash

Word is that Nissan is quitting production of the Titan and selling the platform to Chysler for production in Mexico. They also said that the Armada isn't going to make through the cuts either. Anybody else heard this yet?

I have heard this, because chrysler is trading some sort of platform to Nissan. I think it might be for a car or something. If you look at the Titan and the newer dodge trucks, they look a lot alike.
Not like I can ever have one, so I don't care too much.
ya nissan is supposed to be makeing them a small car.... prolly versa ish

I have an 2008.5 SE crew cab and they look alot like the dodge, but from what I have heard on a titan forum is that since they share close to the same frame and everything that they will join together and build both trucks on the same line to cut cost...

I'm not sure on all of that since chrysler is on the edge of being bought out by GM cuz they are loosing so much money and not making it back, if so that sucks cuz working on chryslers suk and same with most newer GM's so if they merge then imaging what a clusterfuck that will be.

Bummer to hear, i like the 5.6 titan motor it ran real well, and had no major problems if they use the hemi it will open up a real big problem they're a pain in the ass to work on.

i anyone is still interested i have a nissan sport magazine that had a giant article about all this. the titan will wtill be carrying the 5.6 endurance v8 as an option but will also have the cummins diesel as an option. the only thing the titan and ram will be sharing body wise is the roof and doors. titans will still have their own unique interior which is supposed to be pretty cool, and almost all of the body will be unique. it will be getting produced in 2011 and is coming from the saltillo, mexico chrysler plant. Dodge is also making a versa and nissan is bringing the cube over here. The 2 joined because as mentioned chrysler is losing money, just like almost every domestic company, except most of them are asking the government to bail them out. theres supposed to be a few other cars coming too but no word yet as to what

:dunno:
That's the plan. There's some very real doubt as to whether Chrysler (as we know it) will still be around in 2011.

as most of you know the big three are going pretty much bankrupt now. i got an email the other day that described what there doing now good. it said even though we wont buy the crap your making were still going to take your money. haha They're doing it because there asking the government to give them some rediculous amount of money to save them, and we all know theyll get it.
