I am installing both oil temp and oil pressure gauges. Where can I tap into to install these? I have the ka24e engine. Just wondering where i would get the best results and not have to really drill into anywhere there is oil..

well, there is already a hole for the stock sensor next to the oil filter. maybe you can find some sort of T fitting that will allow you to put both there. i suspect the hole will be metric and the aftermarket stuff will be standard so you might need an adapter too.

Now I have heard for the water temp gauge that The engine needs the stock one to run correctly. Something to do with Fuel and Air mixture in the means on how hot the engine is... I dont know I heard it a few times. Im actually hooking up all three. Water, Oil pressure, and oil temp.. I wonder if Its the same for the oil? Im getting a adapter to connect in to the top rad hose for the water so I got that one covered...

i'm not sure if it needs oil pressure or not. it certainly needs water temp to run properly. i would hope there is some sort of shut off if there is no oil pressure indication, but i don't think there is.

thanks man.. Yeah thats what i seen ... I knew it needed the water temp so I have that taken care of but for the oil I may just go that route and tap in to where the stock one is.. thanks for the info man.. I will do a little research on it before hand but like you said I beleive it should be cool... thanks..

look really closely at the passenger side of the block, there might be an additional oil plug of some sort in there. if you can't look, i can look on mine to see if i can see one on it. lmk

i know there is a plug on the block but I removed it and its for water.. Its taped into the middle water jack on the 4th cylinder. But its cool man I figured it out.. i will just get a sandwich adapter and then I will have room by the oilfiler to leave the stock and hook up 2 more censers.. Thanks man..
