Has anyone ever tried or know of a way to clean up the engine bay and make it less cluttered and more appealing? I own an 01' with the VG33E and the engine bay is a wreck.. It's very cluttered and everything is exposed and IMO very unappealing. I really don't want to do an engine swap, I'm just looking for a way to dress it up and make it look nicer and perhaps show quality.

The only thing I can think of is to fab up some sort of cover for everything, but I don't know how that would look or how to go about it.

I attached a picture of what the engine bay looks like, just incase anyone isn't familiar with it.

Any ideas and help is much appreciated. :)

a lot of that crap looks to be emissions related stuff. if it is, you can't really do anything with it b/c you're not supposed to mess with that.

if u wanna go an easy way, use colored wire loom. i know that method is kinda dated, but it'll add some color at least

That does look good.. but as said I really don't want to do an engine swap. I'm happy with my engine, aside from aesthetics.

Any other ideas?
I'm starting to think that fabing up a cover is the only thing I can do,
so I'll be looking into how to do that and how to go about designing it and such.

yeah, a lot of stuff going on on that v6. i would check to see what is emissions and see if it can be relocated out of the way. But i do agree an engine cover would hide most of it and give you a way to add color to the engine bay without going nuts on wire loom.

fiberglass, aluminum, or steel would all work. just depends on what you are most comfortable working with.

In Al we don't have to go through emissions, so removing or relocating anything wouldn't be an issue.

i lean more towards the relocating side of things. you might not have to pass a test, but you do want your engine running smoothly with a stable idle. messing with the various vacuum lines can throw that off.

grab a FSM, find out what is what, and do what you gotta do.

Will do! Thanks for the advice.
