ok Q is are there two different bumpers for these model years pay attention 98-00 because i have found that the top part can be

the top picks are the bumpers and the lower picks are the valences you could say...i have a chrome bumper with the valence...ill show you a pic

is the front apron/valance paintable? i know it's plastic but matched to body color with the chrome inbetween would look really good. do you sand plastic or just clean it and spray away?

yes, some came painted from nissan. i'm not a car painter but i would assume a little scuffing and that should do it

All that plastic is paintable. I did it on my old '98. Mine actually came with low profile fender flares that looked real nice painted.

I also painted the cowl.
My friend did the actual painting so I'm not sure about the actual products used. I think it was some cleaner, high build primer, LOTS of sanding to smooth out the texture, base, clear...

i think thats actually just a ranger bumper

i'm pretty sure they're the same, the pictures are just taken at completely different angles.
So I'm guessing you're planning on running this bumper on your truck? That should look pretty clean, I'm interested to see how it turns out.
Also, you may need bumper brackets. There's two brackets that hold it to the frame, and there's also some smaller brackets and rubber pieces that bolt to a bracket that attaches to the bottom of the fenders.
