very cool. how's the work look? it always seems to be perfect on tv, then when you actually get to see it in real life you think you could have done as good or better. i felt that way about some cars at SEMA.

well all in all the did a killer job on the truck the only thing they didn't do was paint alot of the stuff on the truck after they did the work alot of bare metal after 2 years that shit started to rust of course the guy that had it before me always keep it in a garage so that helped a little

4 coats of clear is wayyyyyyyyy too much. especially on a single stage.

unless youre going wet on wet( which will be like 6 coats of paint at once)you're going to have to wetsand the single stage down, so you're back to square one. just use a base clear. easier to use.

so long as the paint isnt too thick itll be durable. people think the thicker it is the better, but if its too thick it tends to chip and crack.

I say go 2 and 2. Base it/Clear it(2 coats). Wet sand it. Then hit it with 2 more coats of clear! Especially if you pin stripe it. Wetsand/Buff.
The second you introduce clear over single stage you elimiate the 1 stage and make it 2. You'll spend more money on single stage than you would just base with reducer.
