thats real clean...how did you get the dash to come out so smooth and shiny..im the one who did our interior pieces...and they came ou like shit...soooo..im thinking something new this year....but im not sure where i wanna go with this..??

The painted pieces I started with a very thin coat of fiberglass resin and chopped mat. Sanded smooth and then used Bodyfiller to shape it. Then primed, blocked w/ 220, primed, blocked w/ 400 finished off with 600 wet. Then sprayed with PPG Basecoat/Clearcoat. Let cure for a couple weeks and then sanded and buffed it before I put it back in.

its called duck cloth, I wouldnt recommend it to anybody though it does not stretch at all. Didnt turn out to bad for my first time but I wont do white again.:eek:

Did you strip the leather (or whatever) off the dash before glassing or did you just go right over it?

After degreasing the hell out of the dash I went over the wrap, as it was still pretty firm. I roughed it up with 80 grit without breaking through and then started the thin coat of resin and mat.

Nothing speacial but black swirl velvet. I only drive it at shows at night to drag it so I have no cluster. I'm thinking really hard this winter when doing the BD to put a 50 dash in are make a metal one.

they go all the way down with no problems they are just rockford 5 1/4. the fronts are pioneer 6 1/2.

Well Im still in the build mode.. But thought i would give some pics to show where Im at.. maybe get some ideas.. the dash is going to get redone.. maybe build a hole new one out of another dash.. It has some flaws.. It works for now though. Going to do the door skins in f-glass. and also the console. Converted to the 4x4 e-brake lever on the floor, sunroof, grant rally wheel, 91 plymouth laser seats out of my old car, custom sub box also fiber glass, full lanzar system, subs mids and highs also head unit..so far I got the head unit.. well let me know what you think.. thanks

wow, i9 realy need to get my ass in gear with the whole int thing. im building a gaass subbox and amp rack soon, ill do some door pannels too if everything turns out.

going to have the box and amp rack in seprate corners of the king cab. and have the door pannels simmalar to s-10killa
