Started pulling things apart today so here are some pics. my plans are to redo the front with some cado arms and redo the rear with a 4-link and do a bag on bar set up, but first i want to get it running.

the front suspension work looks good on the pass side like shit on the driver side, the bridge in the rear the weld broke from a crap job, this weekend my plans are to get the motor out and get the bed pulled off. if any one has any helpful hint or ideas or sees anything that needs some attention or ideas feel free to let me know, hopefully more pics on monday

ok now mind you i am not the one who did any of the suspension, i bought it like that...im gonna start cutting on it prolly sat to redo most of it.....i need a little help/advise im saving my chips to buy a welder? im looking at the millermatic 211 can prolly pick up for $1100 my ? is, is this welder overkill for what i need i plan on redoing most of the brakets and building a custom bridge, i also want to install a ford 302 or chev 350 but thats after i get the suspension all done, im by no means a metal guy just a mechanic dabbling in minis but i dont want to buy a welder that is more than i need, if i can get away with saving money on a welder great but if the 211 is worth it i dont mind spending the money, so any input would be great...

You can never have a welder that's "too big." For right now, it might be more than you need, but you know that later, on another project, it won't be "too small."
Even the bigger, more expensive welders do thinner stuff better - they tend to have better arc control.
Always buy the biggest, best welder you can afford.
We have a Miller 210 at work, with a spool gun to do aluminum! Decent welder. I wouldn't go smaller.

not the biggest but i only paid $300 for it with the bottle, 2 pairs of brand new gloves, 2 new welding hammers, new visegrips, new wire brush and a brand new 3m helmet so i figured if i learn on it and take care of it wen i sell it i could get my money back out of it any one ever have or use one of these
would love to hear some feedback

sorry to hear about the baby. hope your wife/gf is doing ok.
i've been doing my framework with my 110. just have to know it's limits. i do some work, let it rest some and make sure there is enough of a gap between the metal to burn itself in.

ok i started to work on the rear notches, note i bought this already half assed, so since this is my first mini, im just redoing what is there, but i can tell you as my metal fab skills improve it looks like im gonna back half the frame or SFBD, but thats in the way future
here are some pics of what i got so far

next up is the 4 link, the front bag mounts are a lil bit of a mess so before i cut them out ill post some pics so i might need to pick a few brains
also in the process of finding a motor and trans, im on a bit of a budget at the moment so im kind of fishing for the best deal i can
