The ABS light came on the other day, brake fluid is good, any ideas?
2004 2.4 Auto

It's not like I need ABS in Arizona and its the only thing preventing me from getting drop spindles

mines been on 4 awhile i checked everything 2 and found nothing it could be a wheel speed sensor

Yea, I think its because I went 80mph through a flooded street and got water in the ABS sensor.

After 3-4 days ABS light did not come on anymore, I must have gotten the sensors wet, ABS works now :-)

i know on my dad yukon the sensor got dirty and i just had to clean them with a wire brush

on my 98 it goes on and off sporadicly but never really anything noticible different
maybe they had a problem with them

just take it off. the abs unit that is. or thats what we did with my old frontier. it gave a whole lot more room for tire clearance and cleaned up the engine compartment b getting rid of that big ol box. but if it works keep it ofcourse. my light was on bc of the drop spindles. so we just replumbed the brakes and no abs box anymore

Agreed. Remove it then take out the bulb in the gauge.
