Graduate Friday!

I graduate friday from uti. Super excited. Been one of the hardest solid years of school i have ever had. Gained and lost friends, lost a girlfriend of 3years, and never have been so tired or stressed in my life. But in the end. Im graduating top of my class with the same 4.0GPA i started with 24I-car certs, Toyota certs, I-car certs in alums mig & steel mig welding, dupont credientials, and a whole lot of other knowledge i gained on the way. As much crap as people talked about the school I went in there and took it for every cent I paid and now am about to walk away with more then I could have ever learned in a normal year. Im super stoked about being done. Not to mention after the graduation im gettin a grad/x-mas gift. Either im going to get the Hobart 187mig or the lincon.

School is just like anything else, you get out what you put in...and it sounds like you worked your ass off. GOOD JOB!

With that broad of a skillset and being top in your class, you should have a good shot at picking and choosing what ever work you want to do.

Any shop owner will tell you that good knowledgable dependable techs are tough to find...and that is usually why some techs are cashing huge bonus checks while the lazy half-assers are sitting around pissing and moaning about straight time checks and badmouthing the guy who's making the rest of them look bad.

Thanks for the words. Im still not sure where ill go. Even with everything I know now I still wanna start from the bottem and work my way up so i can learn more. I dont want anyone to over judge my skills but I still feel and know that I have a LONG way to go before Im where I wanna be at in the industry. As of now Im kinda looking for a dealership job cause the med benifits and what not. But if I can find someone that can pay me good enough to keep me around and really teach me everything they know. Ill probably be there. I think im going to focus more on Paint more then anything cause thats where I see a every day improvement everytime I walk in a booth.

No probably not me. Come on. I drive a nissan pickup. Drag racing is the LAST thing I would be doing in that truck. Inless I was on foot. Cause I think i run faster then my truck goes. Lol. Ill remember that next time I come over that uti kids annoy you.

ON another note, I just might be selling my brand new still in the box Lincoln 175 HD mig welder. It has gas hook ups and I got a brand new cart that is still in the box. I got a full bottle of Argon but it cant go with. Is on a rentel. My bro has been paying on it for a year now. I am parting out the Beast so it looks like I wont be needinf to keep it. LMK if interested.
