I think i mentioned this before but if i haen't here you go. I am wanting to raise my truck back up not to full height but also not to factory height. right now i am static with 3" blocks, leaf removed, redrilled, 2" drop spindles and torsion bars turned down. I want the front level with the rear once i take the blocks out.

question 1: is there anything i need to do when i remove the blocks so the axle doesnt move or just remove one block at a time? do i just goto the parts store and get new u bolts?

question 2: when i crank the torsion bars back up do i just turn them all the way till they won't adjust anymore? will that put me at the same height as the rear or higher? If it is lower i can do a 1" block but i just don't want it as low as it is anymore.

Thanks for all the help guys and gals. I plan on keeping the 2" drop spindles because how i see it that should just give me 2" drop over factory in the front correct? and i believe with the leave removed and the redrilled hanger that should give me 2-2 1/2" drop right?

do the rear first then measure on a flat surface the ground to either your hub or fender lip then crank the front up til they r about the same. you do how ever need to lift the front of the ground to do this so you may have to jack it up and down a couple times to get it right. then when finished head on over to get a alignment

thanks for the info, so i have to jack the front up to adjust the torsion bars? also do you think when i remove the blocks i can get the front level with the drop spindles?

You will find it easier to jack the truck up - it unloads the springs off the adjusting nut. 4 turns is about 1 inch.

If redrilling is about 1-1.5" and pulling a leaf is about 1.5", you should have a nice 2/3" drop with just front spindles and the torsions set to normal.

you can get it level again, with out too much trouble, just remove your rear blocks first one at a time to help you keep things straight, just remember to place the jack stands on the frame not the axle! or you could really hurt yourself, then after you are done back there move to the front and put the front on jack stands crank your T-bars up a few turns then the other side a few turns to keep them both going up the same amount, lower it down and drive it around town on a bumpy road to get the front end to settle down into it's permanent placement, and judge if it is high enough or needs a few more turns, if so repeat the previous steps and then HAVE IT ALIGNED.
