Heater core ??

I got a question about replacing the heater core in a hardbody. Does the whole dash gotta come out or can you get to all the bolts with the dash in place? Also do all of the hb years use the same core?

ive wondered the same thing myself....my pops is a mechanic and says the whole dash has to come out....but i dunno for sure...

It is easier to remove the dash, But I guess if you had to remove it you could leave the dash in. Just real hard to reach laying on you back upside down on the floor.
