Just a heads up, most (or all) of the sending units included will fuel cells from summit, jegs or anywhere else don't match up with Nissan. They are 0-90ohm units. Frontiers however are around 86-4 ohm. It could work but most likely going to read backwards.

He may be high, but he is right. Depending on the type of sender you could possibly flip it and it would read correctly. I know some guys take the stock sender/pump and mount it in an aftermarket fuel cell but you're most likely going to have to shorten the sender.

I think the fuel cells from summit, etc. have the tube style sending units and I'm not sure how you would get those to read correctly. The sending units with the floats on them are the ones you could flip if you had to and make work. Just make sure you ask if you're not sure before you buy.

Ronnie had posted up before and showed how to resolder the new sending unit to read correctly. I havent seen him post in a while though. It did seem fairly easy to do.

It might have been on the old site. He had basically scratched through the original circuit on the sender, then used some solder to reroute it so it would read 90-0 ohms. His username was Ronnie. He seemed to know quiet a bit about installing fuel cells and getting them to work with the stock gauges. Some of the mods that have been around a while might know him or how to get ahold of him. I may try to search some and see if I can find it.

I remember when he did it too. Did he ever hook it up and see if it worked? I remember his truck was apart when he re-soldered it and I don't ever remember the outcome of it.
om manic mechanic he put a cell in ice's old nissan and im pretty sure he got it to read right.

I found that there is know way to get the fuel gauge sending unit to read properly. I went by "E" meaning enough and "F" meaning fucked. I asked a friend of mine who knows electronics if there was a device that would make the gauge read prperly, and he said no. I tried swapping wires and all that and the gauge still read backwardsthe only way to get a proper fuel reading is to use an aftermarket fuel gauge.

I second that motion. Also get the proper fuel pump. I got mine through Summit Racing. it was about 70 or 80 bucks. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G3138/ I* beleive this was the one I got. I also used this fuel cell http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-290108/
