Ok so as far as I can tell there are no "bolt-on" coilovers for a hardbody. I've seen a few custom set ups that require wending but I'm looking for more of a bolt on set up. So I've been looking into it a little and here's that I've got.

I'm thinking you could take this and a spring and make it work:

From what I can see the piece on the left will fit on the bottom of a shock. It looks like it would work for either the stock shocks or the Chrysler conversion set up as well. Of course you would need to figure out what spring you would like to run but that's not super hard to do.

Let me know if you think I'm missing something here.

if you are planning on mounting a coilover in the place of the stock shock, you are planning for failure.

the factory shock mount is not designed to support the weight of the truck. it will break off.

^^ what scotty said. and the spring wont fit inside the upper arm without cutting it, or better, getting a tubular arm.

Yeah you do have a point there. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

What is the typical setup for this then? I can get a full set of aftermarket coilovers from a civic for cheap, I understand the back but haven't really looked at the front. Anyone have pics or know of a certain build with full coilovers? The rear will be 4linked with the coilovers mounted on the back of the bridge to the axle. This is for my 720 single cab but any pics would help.

exact same thing happened to me (on the same side too)... but with a little welding the shock mountcould be beefed up to maybe be able to support the weight maybe

Just look at a set of bag mounts to get an idea of what you need for coilovers. Just a little bit of 1/4" steel and some gussets.
