was wondering if my aged clutch master cylinder or clutch slave is time to be changed, its kinda hard to switch gears when ive been driving for 30-45 minutes.clutch and TOB is only 1 1/2 years old, changed my trans and rear diff oil a week ago,no leaks, but would the CS and CMC cause this also?i have to realy press my clutch in all the way sometimes when going from 2nd to first on downshift.

was ur trans fluid dirty or metalic looking? could be bad syncros. if ur stopped and off the brake and in 1st gear and you rev the engine does it creep forward?(runnon sentece)

yeah there was very little shavings but not enough to even think something messed up, and no it doesnt creep forward, what about adjusting the clutch pedal nut that leads to CMC?i never touched that.

if it dont creep then your clutch is beeing released all the way. does it do it on up shift in to all gears or just down from 2nd.

^ what if it does creep? I have/had an issue getting my truck into first gear even with a hard pedal. And when I would rev with the clutch it it would creep a few feet at the higher rpms.

my old saturn would do that and its really hard to get into gear i think the slave cylinder was bad not fully pressing in the pressure plate in.

thats not true.

just because it doesnt creep doesnt mean the clutch is released all the way.

to the op, yes, it sounds like you are having a hydraulic problem.

have you tried flushing and bleeding the clutch slave and master system?

well you would be right in a severe case, but its not definate.

the clutch could be dragging, making it hard to put in gear, but not quite enough to move the weight of the vehicle. it would just slip at that point.

get what im saying?

im gonna just buy a new slaves and master and see if it helps, although by adjusting the screw i did feel the gears engaging a little better.
