that's gonna be difficult running the stock carb..
i just finished mine and went with a new weber 32/36
much cleaner now..
now just gotta re-wire the truck to get rid of all the unnecessary wires hanging out everywhere

by using the weber, i was able to eliminate almost everything un needed
the Z24 has MILES of vacumme hoses under the hood. the weber uses 2 hoses, 1 for fuel, and 1 for timing advance
my rt side inner fender is completely removed of all un needed things. except the battery which i plan on relocating sometime this winter
left inner fender so far has had the charcoal canister removed, i left the bracket in place to hold the coils for now.
NOTE: i also removed my stock fuel tank in favor of a spun aluminum tank in the bed to simplify things even more
but trying to accomplish this by utilizing the stock carburetor may prove to be a PITA
esp if you have an electronic feedback carb such as the one i started with

that doesnt sound very promising to keep the stock stuff. if i have to get a weber i guess i will but i was trying to keep this very budget minded and since it runs decent thats why i was thinking of keeping the stock crap

So if I replace my stock carb with a weber does that mean I can also remove the computer, or does that control other things besides the carb?

at the moment i still have my computer hooked up..
i see no need for it and plan on eliminating it when i go to a simple painless harness
