Very nice... I've always loved that truck. But I don't have the heart to cut up my 720 like that.
You are one of the few with those clear corners.... better take good care of them. The other day some guy almost tried taking mine while in a parking lot. I'll be switching to the stock amber ones for now since the 720 is my daily driver again.

We dropped the motor, sectioned the oil pan, shortened the stock air cleaner and modified the drag link. Most of the pics I have. Some are still on his web site and others are on Street Source. What would you like pics of Ill repost them if I have what you’re looking for?

I can get you some this weekend that was the only one I took. It was late. The whole frame will be powder coated that way and alot of the small things will get the extreme purple treatment to match the paint scheme.

We dropped the motor, sectioned the oil pan, shortened the stock air cleaner and modified the drag link. Most of the pics I have. Some are still on his web site and others are on Street Source. What would you like pics of Ill repost them if I have what you’re looking for?

Laid 720, this is the most important thing you need to do. You will need two drag links. I used the old one and bought a new one. The oil pan is sectioned higher than the transmission because I still need to remake the connection between the frame rails under the pan. Hope this helps.

Nis720, here are some more pics. I took the 1/4” round heated it up and bent it around the wheel well lip to match all the contours. Then welded it in top and bottom and cut out the lip. Got a little too hot when heating up the rod with the torch. The rods are 49” long and go from the bottom lip of the bed side over to the other bottom lip of the bed side. It has way more strength the rolling or cutting the lip. Still needs a little more clean up, once the top is on the whole under side will get rhino lined yellow.

Well I look at the air cleaner Seth didn't mod it at all just cut out a hood support. It likes like shit and throws off my plans to shave out the hood lines. I will set it on this week end and see if it has enough clearance. If it doesn't (witch I think it won't) I'll post pics of how I would mod it when I get the electrical done.

I didn't take a lot.
I basically centered the middle master cylinder over the steering column.
I had to cut out all of the factory stuff and all the factory supports, but left enough to hold up the steering column.
I built a braced frame to hold the assembly so I could mount it on the firewall.
All of this got in the way of the actual steering column, so I made a couple of little brackets to drop the steering column down enough to clear everything.
I haven't actually looked for bulkhead connectors for the lines going throught the firewall, but I know they sell them online at a few places.
All of this was a HUGE pain in the ass. But it's cool to see when people try to look for the master cylinders.. plus I kinda had to move it all because the wheel tubs and the actual 22's with the tires are sitting where the stock stuff used to be.
I really want to stick some lower profile tires and bodydrop mine, but damn.. I'm so worn out from the work I've already done getting those big ass wheels to fit! I may just run some 24's out back when I build the new back half I'm getting ready to do.

My wheels are up their too. mine is body droped to the rockers with 20's and a 35 series tire. I was blown away at the 22" all around. I cant imagine how you body drop it on 22's let alone 24's. Ill tell you one thing i would be jealous.haha So good luck thanks for the help,

Well good news turns to bad really quick. Redid the entire wiring harness moved all the relays inside the cab, pulled out the H.V.A.C controls to reuse the connections for new stuff, shortened thins here and lengthened things there. Had a nice custom fit and looked good all re-taped. Connected the batteries went to turn it over for the first time in years……………seized motor. So a broke it free got excited put it back together and smoke everywhere. I just FRIED the entire wiring harness.
Might be time to part it out and buy a boat. Here are some pics before meltdown.

Well after drinking my sorrows away, I’ve come to my senses. Redo the harness again. Found out what shorted the harness out. There was a grounding washer that fell off the bolt that the alternator swings on, it fell inside the alternator and grounded the windings to the case. Well it least it did its job.
The question is all the harnesses the same for that year in the engine/under dash to ecu and blower?

I would still recommend an un-powered release of some sort. Ive had issues with poppers not popping even if they have power sometimes. They can be a PITA and there is nothing worse than having to take out your back window in the middle of a parking lot somewhere (I know this from experience...lol) Definitely a cool idea tho with the tag bolts.

Yes. It's almost like the core support or the cab need to be adjusted at the mounts. Was thinking maybe bring the core support down and cab up? I don't know in need a body guy to magically appear in my garage and fix it. And then finish the truck lol

Yep it is a little high and yes they are after market fenders. So this weekend I plan on lowering the core support and raising the front of the cab. Right now it sets about 1/8" lower then the frame. Been door body work research and that may fix it the it's off with the bed for more bracing and a final fit.
