Please read this. I know it's long, but I'm really pissed right now and need to rant a little bit.
Has anyone else had as many problems getting shit from them as I have? I would assume not since they're so popular, so what do they have against me? Here's my rant:
First it was my compressors that took two MONTHS to get here b/c they were back-ordered and nobody would tell me that until about the tenth time I called to see where the hell they were... Could've just told me when I ordered, right? Sure, but whatever... I got 'em.
Then, on my last order, two of my gauges were back-ordered... Once again, didn't tell me when I ordered, and instead, just sent me a little note with the other $700 worth of shit I ordered. Not a huge deal, but something else that unexpectedly set me back a little while.
And now, I order my valves, air line, and mirror fillers last Saturday (10/4) on their website (instead of calling it in) just so that the order will be there nice and early Monday morning and get here by the end of LAST week, and instead, they call me last Tuesday (10/7), and tell me that the billing adress is wrong and that they've gone to a different system that won't allow them to send my order out.... But they had my money that same day... So, I call today, 10 days after I placed the order and a week since they got their damned money, and ask where my parts are, and I'm told that my order will be shipped today. Given my past history with them I ask if everything will be shipped, and I'm told, "Yeah... Everything but the valves..." Okay... ummm... WTF am I gonna do with all that air line and no valves? I'd really love to be able to pick my truck up with something besides shop air and Schrader valves. Anyways, the point of this is that I'm done with SD. The shit that they make in-house is awesome, and I can't complain about anything I've ever gotten from them, but unless I need brackets, filler plates or anything for an S-10, they'll never get another dime from me.

Thats weird for them. I never had any problems. But then again I havent ordered anything from them in years.

that sucks man...i had a problem with getting he wrong brackets but i called and the sent me the one i ordered at express shipping for free got them in like two day i think...that was probably the only bad experience i had with them..sorry to here bro

I had an issue with an internet order with them one time last year but called and got it worked out..other then that they have been right on with the other few times i ordered from them but maybe there new system has them screwed up...

Yeah... Honestly, they're friendly as hell, they know what they're selling, and really seem to want to do the right thing, but they just keep screwing up. And, you know what they say... Screw me once, shame on you... Screw me twice, shame on me... And, screw me a third time, keep the shit, gimme my money, and SD gets no more business from me! I'm sure I'll order something from them in the future if I can't get it anywhere else, but it'll be a while.

No. They were supposed to have everything in stock, and as far as I know, the only thing that got drop shipped was my comps. Really pisses me off too that they (supposedly) had the valves in stock when I ordered them... not now.

I can understand your frustration. Especially when you've paid for goods and they don't arrive so you can stay on schedule with getting a ride out of the shop. Have you tried to talk to Jason or asked to speak to someone else when you've called and feel like your getting the run around...I admit sometimes no matter what biz you call you might end up with someone on the other end of the line that may be new, training...or what have you and frankly may not know what they are doing. I'm talking in general...if I ever feel like I'm having an issue with getting some business worked out I'll either ask to speak to someone else or call back...He'll I had a fucker at the IRS tell me I couldn't get my stimulus, I knew that was bs. So ask my wife to call back, she gets someone else..tells them the same thing, that person fixed their error. What I'm saying is try to talk to the right person, and see if it will help...I don't think Jason would but the last thing we want is him going Joe Marrow on us right!

they don't like dealing with me..because i was ALWAYS ordering stuff for them for greg for the truck and i needed it asap..but the thing was i HAD to stay on top of them about getting my order out...the only real problem that i had with them was that they overcharged more for the notches then the the ad in mt said...and i called them and complained and they said that the price of steal went up..but they wouldn't honor the price in the mag...so i didn't think that that was very customer friendly...you should have said something when we ordered the notch?? other wise they are ok!!

Dayum...that sounds like every order I have ever had through FBI...but that has been a few years ago. I don't know if they have shaped up in that time.

I hope you get everything square man and can get the truck back on the road quick.

they do have a problem with that instock crap, but thats the only problem ive had.
when i ordered my valves in feb 05, and didnt get them till may. lucky for me i was just ordering them just to have them ready for the big day. so it didnt slow down or kill a time frame that i was going for.

awhile back i ordered valves and toggle switches at same time, th valves were dropped shipped fine but i had to call and remind them to send the switches, which i figured would have showed up first but no. . i got em eventually but it was a bit of a pain to have new valves and having to go get switchs local just to play.

I ordered a compressor, 8 smc valves, airline, gauges, switchbox, 2 re6's, 2 re7's air tank, relays, shock kit, bag brackets, front shock kit, fourlink, tabs, bolts, mirror fillers, tailgate handle filler, extra tubing and a bunch of misc stuff back in july, I still have yet to see my air bags and they sent me the wrong valves, I sent them like 5 emails about it with not one reply i said screw it and i called yesterday and talked to ricky and asked wtf is up his reply was that jarid is gone and he is doing everything himself now, i politly told him that basically I don't care i want my stuff, so he told me that he had a few re7's in stock that he would ship out, and he was gonna call slam specialties and have them send me the re6's and i told him to hell with the valves i keep the ones i got istead of waiting another 3 months

I kinda figured they were a little under-staffed right now since Ricky is the one who answered the phone everytime I called, but that's really not my problem... well... it is my problem now I guess. I also didn't want to be an ass to him b/c I know it's not his fault. He's been pretty helpful and friendly so far. I'm glad to see it's not just me having problems with them. I think they need to get their shit together.

Screw it... I'm just gonna run some rubber hose and ball valves... and only four valves at that...

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from sd, the only problem I had was when I bought my AZ compressor from them. I ordered it online, the next day they told me they were on backorder, however I got it shortly after that. I've been lucky I guess, everytime I ordered stuff I've always dealt with jerid; so he has always helped me out.

Sorry to hear 'bout your bad expirience, sounds like you're dealing with airbagit.com hahaha....sorry bro

yea ive only ever had one problem from em and that bc they had a new guy taking orders on the phone and fucked it all up. took almost a month and a half to get a 4 link kit. but its the dammned 4 link ive ever bought. everyone has their bad days. no ones perfect wer only human. but i understand you madness

Overall i have had good service with them. Jerid was always cool with me when i ordered stuff. But the last 2 times i called the person on the phone said Jerid didnt work there anymore???? So i dont know if he works there or not......

never had a problem with them i call them, they take my money(which is alot damn truck) it shows up a week later some times sooner i don't even shop around if they have i get from them first

my first few orders went off with out a hitch but my last order which was around $1,800 bones is still all screwed up, and no jerid don't work for them no more.

I wish on the website they said if stuff would be back ordered...When I get shipments to canada I want it as one shipment so I dont have to pay brokerage and duty more then once! That's been my only grief...having a diff package show up a week or 2 later

Finally got my bags in today while i was at work, Ricky shipped my re7's from SD but for my re6's had to call slam specialties up directly and talk to them, part of the problem was on their side, they got the order to ship them from there and never did, Ricky assumed they shipped as per arranged but oh o! nope they didn't so he nabbed the last 2 re7's in stock that were to go to someone else and sent them to me, I'll still do business with them I just told them that I will call every few days to check on my orders.

Well... I FINALLY got my money back... once again pissing me off by taking four days to refund it when it only took one day for them to take it out. So, now I'm sitting in NY, my truck is still sitting in my buddy's shop in NC with none of the plumbing done, and if I do go ahead and order from someone else, I'm still in the same damn situation I was before... I'll have to get back off of my vacation, and haul ass through this build so that I can get it done before Nov 1st when I could have already been started on the body work before I left. I sure as hell won't be doing any business with them for a while, but, whatever, I got my money back.
