the plans are to get it bagged and bodied on some 20's and get it runnin. this is my dads old truck. he bought it brand new in 1987. the motor blew up bout ten years ago and he parked it under a tree and thats where it still was till last weekend when i drug it home. im plannin on makin this my daily so should be a fun.

well i figured out my scanner and as promised here was my D-50 this was back in 2002, i fixed all the bodywork and paint after these were taken.

My girlfriend (now my wife) wanted to go on vacation to the beach for our 1 year anniversary, so i sold it for $600 bones, all it needed was the neutral safety switch put in and the air tube from the exhaust manifold fixed, last year i went to the local pick apart junk yard and there it was sittin ripped to pieces.

Also I've seen people re-engineer mitsubishi eclipse turbo 2.0's for these trucks.

yea i have thought of using the 4g63 turbo motor out of an eclipse but i kinda just wanna go back stock wit the motor.

i had some issues finding parts for mine too, just took forever without hittin up the dealers, i'm guessing you also have the 2.0 and not the V6

i got the 2.6 4 banger it had the 2.3 originally but my dad swaped it when he cracked the head and had trouble findin a motor then too. i would like to go back with the 2.6 if i can find one cause i want this as a daily.

Put the Starion/Conquest turbo 2.6 in there. That will be the easiest swap if you have to come down to that. I have owned 3 Mighty Max's and they are by far my favorite vehicles ever, fun little trucks.

I don't know for sure. They are pretty hard to come by but I think there was a site I came accross awhile back that sold performance parts for them called starquest. I think it was racetep.com but am not real sure. I know they have some good stuff there but maybe a little expensive.

i will deffinantly keep a progress report on the build going. i really think im leanin more to a 4g63 i am just havin such a hard time tryin to find anything down here. if anyone has any info or can point me in any directions of where to find even a stock motor that would be greatly appriciated. thanks for all the help and interest in the new project.

found a conquest with the turbo 2.6 today. its in a local u pull it junk yard. the harness has been cut and pieced back together but if i can get them to let me hear it run i might buy it. anyone know anyone that has done this swap that i could talk to???

Yes, the dodge D/Ram50 was made by mitsubishi(Its a mighty max) and imported for dodge
