i got a automatic 02' frontier w/ column shift n was just wonderin what i would need to swap out the automatic trans to a 5-speed manual?how hard would it be? is it worth it?stupid? any input would be appreciated....:thumb:

heck ya its worth it! More fun, better gas mileage, and for some reason lower re sale value. peace.

i dunno, i know a lot's involved. clutch pedal, slave cylinder, different ECU, add a tach, i've never done it. but i know this much.

automatics are for girls man.

most auto nissans came with a tach but most manual ones did not. go figure.

:rofl2:haha i pretty much know that ..thas y im gona do the swap, but i just need help cuz my truck has the column shift by the steering wheel n not where the 5speed stick is supposed to be (in the middle)

think there is a plate that just unbolts under the carpet im pretty sure on that but it might be differnt on the new frontys . i know my 93 has a plate there.

yah..there are 4 studs that are underneath the plastic of my center console..but i think the bolts might be under the truck?







....also,you know what 5pd. tranny will fit in a 02' frontier???

probly could use a 95+ 240's even a earlier one if u swap bellhousings and the a truck one should work and u could probly even use a 300zx's. im just guessing but nissans u can mix and match from alot of differnt cars.
