Alright I got a question about upgrading to the new style dash. What do you do about the gauge cluster (hookin up spedo, gas , temp gauge)? Also do the steering wheels and collum covers interchange?
I found me a dash for 100 bucks and I wanna to the swap but I was just covering all bases before I dove in.

If I remember correctly, you need to change the steering column to fit the new column shroud. The old shroud fits with the new dash though.

What about the new style steering wheel? Will it just slip on?

I just got a dash from a 97 but like a dumbass forgot about the 2 brackets on the very bottom under the carpet. Is it possible to reuse the brackets that are in my 92?
Oh and Indecline you'll need the speed sensor from a 94 as well. I think the AutoZone part # is SU4654. (http://www.infamousnissan.com/forum/member.php?u=12)

OK I got the lower bracket tonight :). SO now I have the center bracket, lower bracket, and the big bracket that runs across the driver side that the steering column was bolted to. There was also a bracket on the driver side that the actual dash as bolted to (2 10mm nuts). Not sure if I need it but I got it anyway. So am I missing any brackets?
Oh and sorry for the thread jack but I figure this might help you with you swap as well Indecline.

The old shroud fits with the new dash though.
Unless you are me. The old shroud won't fit with a dash from a 97 w/ a tilt steering wheel. I just tried it and it's way too big.

I done this swap on my 88 and used a 94 or 95 pathy dash. Everything lined up perfectly once I had the brackets for the dash and the brackets on the sides of the cab. I think there were 3 per side. Ther was one on the pathy I removed mine from that was kinda hidden by the heater box so it got left behind. I was able to instlal my dash fine however.
