OK, I want to put a V8 in my Frontier(350). Does anyones know who has or can make the mounts for the engine/tranny???
what year fronty?
if its like a hb just make mounts with a grinder and cut off wheel...make cardboard templates first...dont know about the trans...on a hb only drilling a new hole is required for putting a 3spd auto in the nissan trans x-member

2001 fronty...lookng at a new GM 350 from jegs and the TH350 trans from there.
Personally I would go with a crate from GM Performance Parts...350HO or ZZ4 350 are good

the 350HO and the ZZ4 engines are pretty pricey...not to say the this kind of swap is cheap but it seems like it could really add up...the 350 is a GM Performance part motor.

If you are really ambitious you could put an s10 front frame clip in and the 350 will bolt right in. Then just run the s10 suspension in front.
yea they arent cheap but they are tough and all new components and 2 year warranty.
I wouldnt do a S10 clip personally...the swap isnt hard...that just seems like it's making more work.
A budget swap is about 2 grand (not including engine and trans)...that's for everything else...and it goes up from there.
I'm probably about 8K for my swap...$2500 alone for the transmission lol
