It isn't actual size, but the basic shape is there. I think a 2bbl Holley, or Motorcraft carb would be good here.

For now, this only exists on paper and in my mind. I'm not gonna carb the ka24 in my 97 HB, this was just an exercise of creativity. The basic design can be altered for proper tube diameter and length, as well as carb plate design. I think this shape is ok if you didn't want to go with sidedrafts. Vacuum accessories could all hook up, as well as the PCV. IDK about the water ports, I've never even had my intake manifold off the ka24 or the old naps-z. Hot water has no place in my intake manifold design, and a thermal gasket would be in store should I actually make this thing. If its too cold to idle, pull the choke.

For a stockish ka24 making peak torque at 4400rpm, the runners would ideally be 19.09 inches long for best resonance, but since this is too long, I divided it by half to 9.545 inches which I think could fit in the engine bay, and if thats still too long, I divided by three to 6.363 inch runners. The runners would ideally have an inner diameter of 1.5266 inches. Note that I said this was for ka24 or naps-z, but the naps-z24 makes peak torque at 2800 rpm, which would necessitate different runner sizes for best resonance, no biggie.

For a stockish naps-z24 making peak torque at 2800rpm, the runners would ideally be 30 inches long. This is too long, 7.5 inches sounds more feasable, with a 1.22 inch inner diameter for the runners.

Looks like you put a lot of time into the design.. Are you thinkin about building them to sell?

You can always use FCR Carbs instead of getting Weber or Mikuni Sidedrafts. You can get FCR carbs pretty cheap and they are alot easier to tune then a Weber/Mikuni carbs. FCR carbs are just motorcycles carbs and can be found on Ebay.

I thought about making them to sell, but at this time, I just don't have the means to develop an operation like that. If you wanted to build one, you probably could. People have been doing one-offs like this since as far back as I know. Realistically, gains on a stock motor are probably gonna be 3-6hp, further mods would benefit from even different runner sizes, so once its designed, thats it.

Thats were a cam upgrade, slight port work, higher compression and a good built header come into play:D I've done plenty, but it just depends on who wants them. Everybody I deal with wants Fuel injection, its just alot easier to deal with than carbs. But you just cant beat the sound of carbs opening up:nana2:
