where do i get new door popper remotes??

my spal door popper kit came with 2 remotes. i got melted chocolate in one of them and fucked it up. i got shitty one night and lost the other one. where can i buy new ones? i have to use the button in the fender everytime and its annoying. is there anyway to fix the one i got chocolate in?

Pull the chocolate dipped one apart, remove the battery, and using some rubbing alcahol and a toothbrush you should be able to get all the gunk off of the printed circuit board.

Just make sure you ground yourself before handling the bare printed circuit board, otherwise you run the risk of static electricity fucking up the chip in there. (touch the bare metal on the back of the pc, screw on a light switch, or a metal sink to discharge any static electricity you may have built up)

If the thing still wont work after you scrub all the chocolate off of it, contact spal and they should be able to send you a new one (or two or three), you'll just have to program them once you get them.

I need one too for my spal kit. I drop mine too many times and it wont work. battery tested ok though.

spal has them listed on their website as part# MULTI-RCU7TX with a retail of $24.95 ea. you might be able to google that part number and find them cheaper.
