has anyone had positive camber problems?
i have a little to much on my driver side front tire, what is the proper way to reverse the positive camber into more negative so my tire wont keep rubbing on my fender.my front end is bagged Whit Toyota hubs and stock lower and upper arms. will pulling the tie rods out more and using shims on the upper arms help any. thanks fellas.
:confused:sur:

That's really strange. Nissans always get negative camber, even when you lift them.

Are all your balljoints and control arm bushings solid? Are there already any shims behind the upper arms you can remove? Is your lower control arm bent? Just throwing ideas out there.

i took everything apart, x cept the lower arm.. i was looking at it today and it looks ok.
i think im going to have to take it apart again and compare it to the driverside.
i even switched the uper arms and no change.
i need to find me a hb that i can compare it to. do newer hb have similar lower arms?

you want to take some shims out of the top control arm that will bring the top of the tire in

yeah the arm has no shims, maybe my frame or lower arm is bent.. but i guess i wont know till the lower arm is of..
only other thing left to do would be to section the upper arm.

get it off and take pics... also , compare the arms with the other side to make sure theyre not bent... sound like a bent arm to me if you dont have any shims on the upper arm...
also check all the other suspension parts too....
hard to say without see'n it..

also , they are the right arms? cause i believe that frontier lower arms are different then hardbodies arms as in length, but they look the same though...

Are you coming to a complete stop jacked up and then dropping the truck while it's stationary?

When the suspension is all the way up, the lower control arms are angled down and the bottoms of your tires are closer together than when your truck is laid out, and the lower control arms are relatively flat and level.

Perhaps your tires are not slipping on the ground to compensate for the change in track, and instead your control arm bushings are compressing just enough to give you positive camber. The same thing happens when you lift a vehicle by the frame or the body and set it back down. You have to push it side to side or drive it a little for the suspension to settle back down to ride height.

I don't know if I explained it well enough.

u got to take them both apart and compare them either the top one is to long or the bottom one is to short that or your frame is twisted on the passenger side

has that truck ever been in a collision, if those are the factory spindles they could be bent, or if was wrecked and repaired the frame could have been pulled to far out, causing the camber prob. the arms look ok, to do a quick check you could measure the greasezerk on the upper balljoint to the cross shaft, and then on the lower arm from the balljoint greasezerk to a center point on the frame. and then compare the 2 measurements if the arms check out, then you go from there.,
