I really wouldnt convert to carbs unless you are looking for room to tuck some big wheels or something, but I dont know if there are aftermarket manifolds for dual Mikunis or a weber downdraft.

Whats your reasoning in wanting to go carbs?

well I do want big wheels but the main reason is a clean look. plan on carbs and all new wiring. complete motor rebuild, like pistons, boring, port polishing, bigger cam, lighter pulleys, no a/c, electric fan, external timing(i think thats what it is called). I saw a ka24e in a old ass sentra(I think) that had this done and it looked sweet. fire wall didnt have anything on it. plus it just be cool to do. i want to squeeze every bit of horses out of it i can. i can make my own manifold if i have to. i really hate all the bullshit under the hood. i like the old days where it was just the motor and a radiator.

I feel you on the simplicity of a carb motor, but sometimes its just not a good option on a motor that didnt come carbed to begin with. Honestly bro, if you wanna clean up the engine bay, install a 240SX intake from a 1989-1990 model and that will clean it up a bit. And you can also rip out some of your emmissions shit as long as your not in a state that do checks and shit every year or 2. I can help you with a motor build if anything and go from there.

word. i need to call the local shop and see about the boring and stuff. i really dont know how big to go or any really technical stuff. so any advice would be appreciated. i still am going to do the carbs. i dont care about emissions, since i wont drive it all the time.

I would just do one step up overbore, get the bottom end all blueprinted and balanced, polish the crank, high compression(about 11:1), I can do a port and polish and handle a 3angle valve job for you, 1mm bigger valves, dual valve springs, I can get you a cam made for a specific power band you are wanting to get, pretty much anything you need, I can get handled:D

Heres some of my work, sorry for the 1st set of crappy cell phone pics. This one has a FWD Supercharged motor in a RWD setup, and had to redo all the intercooler piping, and change the throttlebody placement on the intake manifold, and intercooler inlet to the supercharger to face forward instead of facing the firewall.

This car was a years worth of work, alot of custom one off pieces made for it, and recently made 599whp and 570lbft of torque running 30psi.

Heres a pic of my motor on its first rebuild before I tore it apart again and converted to EFI, it made 180whp in this pic.

I make a 4bbl carb conversion, lol! I wont lead you a stray from EFI though. I just decided to stop fighting all the mini truckers who wanted to go carb. peace.
