I know when I had my mazda, most people went for 626 seats. I have some eg civic seats from my old b16 hatch. I swapped them for ek seats, so these have been sitting in my shed. Wondering how difficult they are to install and if they are more comfy and sit lower?

if you are refering to the civic seats with the side mount headrest, they are very popular. i think ive seen them in more minis than any other type of seat. apparently they are easy to bolt in with a few mods.

At one point I had some similar Civic seats in my HB. Had to use a couple 2x2 pieces of wood on the door side of the seat to get them level. Also, could only bolt them in with 3 bolts to the factory holes.

I just did that swap this weekend. I used 2 sets of bench brackets to get mine mounted. I'll post a few pics for you this afternoon.

Did you have to modify the bench seat rails to make them fit the civic seats?

I went about it alittle different.
The 89' seats were pretty straight forward. I used a flat plate to bolt the stock rails, they lined up to the factory holes.

The 93' seats required a angle plate to make the stock rails bolt on.

Kept the inner bracket and chopped off the seatbelt bolts.
