4cyl or V-6?

Ok,I'm STILL trying to find a replacement engine for my '91.
I've been searching and am coming up empty,short of buying a whole truck.
I'm now thinking that if I've GOT to buy a whole truck why not get a V-6 Pathy and swap the engine in.
Any thoughts?
Are the 4cyl and V-6 tranny's the same bolt pattern?
My buget for the replacement mill is $500 or less.

No, they're not the same bolt pattern. However if you had the 4 cyl. in your pickup before, you can use the 84-89 300zx 5speed non turbo front case and that will allow you to bolt it into your truck. Without going turbo though this might be a pointless swap. IMO. peace.
