View Full Version : 1998 Nissan Repair
Hopefully Cody wont mind me sharing these pics with you guys.. He is a member on here too...
long story short... he had another shop bag his truck and install suicide doors. Cody is by far not happy with there work , he recieved his truck not laying frame and the suicide doors would only open about 30degrees out...
someone back into his driver door and destroyed his whole door.. so what a better time to get everything fixed!
he trusted us, fix the damages and fix the suicide doors so they would open more... later the suspension will all be cut off and redone....
i do admit.. this truck kicked our ass... not as much as the truck , the having to fix "another shop's" work. they butchered his truck .. and half ass alot of work on it.... so in the long run, Cody is having to pay more money to fix his truck the second time around... but we'll make it right as possible here..
having to work around the "other shop" work , was really difficult and like everyone else, Cody had a budget.. so we did what we could ... and i believed it turned out good.. but ill let ya all be the judge of that....
heres some pics...
this is how the truck rolled in ....
this is the side he got hit on ...

hollyshit that bitch was a kick stand if he hits sides. We have a dude here in lake city that is proud as fuck of the same kick stand bullshit doors. I dont understand if your doors sag like a mofo theres something wrong. But he says hes got 5 trophys for his truck lmao. I guess we just have alot of hardees on friday night drive ins and they hand out trophys lmao
ok .. i started hammering out the dent from the inside and tig welded the holes shut

this is where i overstretch on purpose.... so i can shrink and move the metal where and how i want it .. the metal is my bitch... i control it...

here i am cutting them up ..

yeah.. thanks again for your business!!! if you have any problems please let us know...
i forgot to mention , we had to replace those bushings in the hinges... way there built, they will wear out in time.... so if the door starts feeling loose, prob due to the bushings.. but you shouldnt have to worry about that for several years.... just make sure no monkeys dont hang on the doors and stuff...

NIce rebuild..it amazes me when I see the type of work some people put out. And Ice I hear ya on rebuilding other peoples work...It Sucks and unfortunately you have to charge more to fix other peoples fuk-ups. Bottom line you get what you pay for. Keep up the good work Matt

definitely looks much better.
i like the bracing you did on the door. there is no need to add a 50lb 1/4" plate to a door to keep it strong. that setup is much better
