I read somewhere about a trick to reset an airbag light in the newer Nissans. I was wondering if by chance anyone knew a trick for an airbag light in an 02 Ford Ranger? I've been searching but i can't seem to find anything. any suggestions (other than stealership?lol)

I have an 01, if i move my seats forward or backward mine comes on. Theres some plugs under each seat that have bad connections. I sometimes have to unplug them an put them back together and for some reason makes the light go off.

The truck is actually my buddy sean's. and he's...well, kinda dumb. lol. He was having a problem with the seat belt chime not detecting that the buckle was in so it chimed while he was riding down the road. so he decided to just completely unplug both of the plugs under the seats, which stopped his chime but caused his light. I went to plug them back in and he goes "don't do that cuz the seat belt chime will stay on". I did it anyway and it made his light go away AND the chime went away. lol

There's a procedure for overriding the selt belt chime. I cant remeber right off hand, but do check on rangerpowersports.com or it he has the manual it is in it.

If you don't have the manual my daily is a ranger, and I have the manual. It's not hard, just follow the directions.

If you have a factory user manual, this should tell you how to deactivate the chime and no seat belt on. My Dodge Ram has a number of features that can be deactivated using the ignition and remote.

It's been a few days now since I plugged the wires back in and so far no chime or light. I think something was probly loose from moving the seats back and forth alot since this seems to be a common thing in rangers. Thanks for the advice everybody
