d21 navara king cab

hey all i was gonna keep this build on the low as i am gonna need a bit of help i thought what the hell post a build


i have owned this bucket of crap for over a year now it blew and a engine about amonth after i bought it so i bought a duel cab navara for parts and engine well after i put it in i found out the engine was fucked i was to egar to get it driving i didi not check the engine so late 1 night in the middle of the street i pulled the engine out and put the other one in i also put the duel cab tub on my king cab and was gonnashorty it or just streach the tub but neather of the happend

so after it sat out the front for ages i got it towed to a frends who was gonna help me build it but he craked the shits so i took it 2 hours south to my mums place where i shoe horned it in to her little garage full of crap



it sat there for about a 4 days when i finally got back down there and started pulling it down for a rebuild i started with the interior and rear glass i started it at about 10 pm and woorked on it right thru till 4 am but i got all thee interior out and the drive5rs side gard and door off and bonnet off

and the next night i pulled the heater piping out and got half the heater box out just have to pull the hosse of in the engine bay it is a littl hard to get to so i droped the fuel tank to

in 2 weeks i am going to get my new engine and box new front end and new tub from my mates place

i wanna do a 2 inch roof chop but i have no idea how to go about it
the body drop is gonna be ether 4 inchs or 6 inchs dont know yet

but plans are to also get a left hand conversion for it and streatch it and change up the sheet metal to the older single cab 86 shet metal the aus deliverd sheet metal

nice start man,why body drop it either 4 or 6 inches.thats further than going to the doors i think???? any particular reason for it?

be sure 2 use some 4wd sheetmetal on the front guards,get that bit of extra wheel clearance,hope you got the 86 style guards in 4wd style.

ill be keeping an eye on this,keen to see how it goes.

wel 6 inch is door and it depends on if i roof chop or not i wont need the 4wd gards i am confident my 20s will tuck on 2wd gards i had them tucking on my slamed single cab last year on the same gards as i am using my rims where escpaclly made to tuck on my 2wd gards

u can get 4x4 guards for the older style in aus not to sure how much more they are flared but i know there are flared compaired to the 2wd

nuying tail light fillers and suicide door hinges this week on another note i picked the paint and paint scheme for my wifes pulsar metallic blue and silver with shaved body line rear garnish rear handels and full body line we painting engine bay first next week so the navara will be put on hold so the pulsar is done for her birthday at the end of the month will put pics up in the othr nissan threads

king cabs never came out with the older style sheetmetal, y would u wanna put the older style guards on? not attractive in my opinion... pretty sure 6 inches is past door too... keen to see more progress...

cut the 4 inch strip along the back of the cab and cut out the fire wall wheel tub on the left side and a 4 inch strip half way along the fire wall before my naighbour came out with the shits at 10 pm saying i was making to much noise so i stoped i found out last night me and my wife might have a new place so i can work on it all the time so i will stop on it and pack it back up and bring it 3 hours north of where its at will post pics up later only got like 4 pics

the person we are looking after is a pain in the ass so i think we moving again and in a month when the truck comes up i am getting a 2 door pathfinder body 850 full body minus tail gate and only 100 to deliver it to my place foxte; kicks ass i love being able to record and watch it later
not bad for 75 a month for 2 boxes

and just to be diffrent run the aus deliverd 86 single cab front end and graft them to the rear to just to piss every one off and to be diffrent got a pipe bender to designed the rear clip to day gonna finish the body drop on the king cab cab and sell it off and build the 2 door like i have wanted to do for a long time but when its done its gonna look sick

spent a few hours tryying to cut out the left side of the cabi fucking hate the under floor bracings and i only have like 2 inchs from freeing the cab and like inch on a floor bracing and found out my girl is 5 weekss preg so i am really happy i am gonna body drop this cab and sell it off then buy the pathy but i wanna finish sumthing for once

jusst got the left side free still need to cut oter side the cab droped 4 inchs on the passenger side put a seat in and the door on and jumped in not much head room for me but plenty for my girl just need to cut the other side i am thinking of keeping it and finishing it and i am gonna get a pathy to and have 2 trucks will put up picks in a minitue

hey all got a 2 door pathie hell cheap now i have a few options cut the 1/4s of anf graft them on to my tub ,shorten my frame and have a 2 dor pathie or cut the pathie right behind the front door and graft it to my king cab thus having a king pathie
