removing cadillac taillights

I welded in taillight fillers and caddy buckets, but now im thinking of cutting them off and reinstalling oem taillights is it worth the trouble and has anyone done this?

I think you could trade straight up for a clean bed and would be a lot less work

jsut weld up the hole where the carry light goes. and put in some leds

^^^ that would be tight. or like others said, im sure someone would be happy to trade beds with you. especially if they cant weld stuff like that

the bed has the floor rasied and spray lined, so i really didnt want to part with it. and the bodywork on the taillights was not done they are just welded in.
