ok well i just got off the phone with the guy that hit me, he's writing the check to me, and instead of going to the body shop, im gona fix it myself, and instead of repainting it factory, i wanna two tone it. my question is how many quarts of paint would i need??? im doing HOK lapis blue and orion silver with a black pinstripe to seperate them, its a single cab. yes i want to do door jams, not really worried about under the hood but i am doing the door jambs

also should i get it already reduced from them? and if so how many quarts will it take that way??

i was guessing 3 quarts of each color does that sound right? or should i get 4 of each?? also should i get extra reducer if i get it pre reduced?

any help would be greatly appreciated

if your gettin 4 then just get a gallon lol but i guess 3 quarts would be enough if its just a simple 2 tone

If thats the case you should just get a gallon of each and always play it safe because what if some other duesh hits you

a gallon is what u will want. jsut incase u need to do any touch ups. or maybe paint some interior later. you have some already mixed that matches.

half a gallon of each color, and what ever amounts are recommended for reducer.

u will have plenty left over for touch ups, or if u decide to paint something else. dash, center console etc..............................

yeah two quarts of each color would be good (three coats), generally a quart of hardener is good for a gallon of clear because of mix ratio (usually 4 to 1 or 3 to 1), depending on the clear coat you get you may or may not need reducer, usually reducers come in gallon cans but they are cheaper so you'll probably have a lot left over

I'm sure the paint place you buy fromn can tell you how much reducer and hardener you will need.

just whatever you do, dont mix it all at one time. my uncle did this with a red that was 650 a gallon. went to get a lil for touch up and it was hard as a rock lol. mix by what your gun uses
