whats that black box on the drivers side fender on manual trans frontier trucks that the accelerator from the cabin goes to,then a wire comes out to the throttle body and something else connected, what does it do?i think it has three plastic screws holding the cover down.

just looked in my Haynes manual, and the cruise control servo is on the passenger side and is round

How does that work?

how does what work?

the cruise control is a mechanical servo type. a computer controlled motor pulls the throttle cable maintaining speed.

if you want to scrap the cruise control, its really easy. the throttle cable from the pedal connects to the cruise control actuator under the hood. the actuator has a second cable that runs to the throttle body. all you have to do is completely remove the second cable, then connect the primary cable to the throttle body.
