Hey anyone thats wants one, MLA is building one for me for my 04 frontier, 160 shipped for 15.8 volts yay!!
I e-mailed them a while back with pictures and info for my frontier, they finally got back with me a couple days ago, time to build 1 week.
So I'm sure mine will work for 01-04 frontiers, so If you want one just e-mail them.....
Once I get mine in, I'll post everything up

basically, instead of riding at 14.4 volts, it'll be more like 15.8 volts.

so whats the tradeoff? there is no such thing as a free lunch.
i take it if you run the factory alt at 15.8 volts youll shorten its life?

From what I've researched, it does not effect the alt in any negative way. It's only a little over 1 extra volt, but just enough to make a difference. I'm not using the factory alt. on mine, however MLA has installed one on a BONE stock electrical system with alot of actual road tested miles on it, and it has performed flawless.
The only bad thing I've heard Is that Kenetik battery does not recommend using the MLA with their batterys, but I'm not using kenetik. When I get mine in and installed I keep all of ya'll updated.....later

are you sure. The owner(forgot his name) uses kinetik 2,400 batts in his hummer car.

there is an email circulating from a kinetik rep that they shouldve be run over 14.5 or so. prolonged exposure to higher voltages will cause the battery to swell and be worthless.
i saw a kinetik a local shop put on a 17v charger. it was the first sphere shaped battery i ever saw

From what I've been told Yellow Tops and Powermaster batteries are the best to use when using the MLA module.
From my understanding yellow tops are able to handle up to 16 volts all day long.....

what do they run? i mean, i have a piece of shit alternator from Advanced, and it seems like about twice a week I have to kill the truck and crank it again, because the voltage light comes on at startup.... yes, i see *another* alt swap in my future.....

For my nissan it was 160 shipped, thats for the "basic" style one. They also have a "pro" series one that you are able to switch from whatever preset voltage you want back to the factory setting. I think those are like 220 or 240.

you still need to reve engine no matter what. It help its keep it over 14.2 after a demo. I need to charge my batts and swap my yellow top for a red top and I will be good or a kinetik. Before after a demo I would only charge at 13.2
