ok sorry its been a while since i posted some stuff but ive been busy with work and school...and im tightening up on money since the holidays is right around the corner....but i finallt got half of the front tubbed hahahahha....my assenger side has the battery, fuse box, and power steering fluid that has to be moved...

anyone got any ideas or tips as to how to move all this stuff CORRECTLY!?!?!?!?!?

**ALL THAT FUCKING WORK JUST TO LAY AND INCH OR TWO LOWER :(....BUT FUCK IT I JUST CANT GET LOW ENOUGH HAHAAHA
http://i38.tinypic.com/29wwkyc.jpg

That Guy
10-15-2008, 03:17 AM
Relocate the battery to the back, fuse box can be zip-tied to the fuel lines (temporarily) and later mount it to your tub if you use trailer fenders or something like that, and you can make a bracket to mount the PS reservoir right to the pump. I'll see if I can find some pics of mine, but my camera is at work, so it'll be tomorrow.

BTW I definitely feel your pain... not being able to get low enough. Been fighting my truck for a week now to get another 1/2" outta the front so she'll lay body.

baggedfrontier
10-15-2008, 03:19 AM
appreciate it bro...i might get lucky and not have to touch the battery, and fuse box ill prolly rewire and move somehow, my main concern was the power steering fluid

baggedfrontier
10-28-2008, 01:01 AM
i know its prolly a stupid question but is there anything i can do to the front of my nissan as in changing a-arms or something to get it to lay full frame without having to cut and move that shit a little higher...its not that its lower than the fram its just doesnt allow it to lay full frame...

someone help with this...i want to be LOWER!!!!!

sparkinframe
10-28-2008, 02:25 AM
do you have drop spindles? that will lower you some, probabily enough to lay hard.

baggedfrontier
10-28-2008, 03:26 AM
so how much is some drop spindles? and you think that would make the front lay fully?

sparkinframe
10-28-2008, 04:25 AM
i almost garentee it. my drop spindles for my 92 hb were 200bux. there not too pricy. check ebay, or your local parts store

baggedfrontier
10-28-2008, 04:50 AM
does it affect the negatice chamber any...as in decreasing it?

sparkinframe
10-28-2008, 04:51 AM
it will decrease your negitive camber when laied out.

baggedfrontier
10-28-2008, 04:52 AM
fuuuuck...i guess thats something ill have to sacrafise

sparkinframe
10-29-2008, 05:07 AM
drop lower controle arms might do the trick and alow you to keep the nagitive camber.

baggedfrontier
10-30-2008, 12:55 AM
well i found out it already has drop spindles and the only thing i can do is move the upper bag brackets higher...soooooo fuuuuuck that it can stay at that height hahaha...im nmot going through all that trouble

chopndroptx
12-10-2008, 03:59 PM
I like the truck! I am also using that type of lines. 1/2" Yellow Gorilla Hose by Goodyear with a 800psi rating. And Pushlok fittings you dont need clamps unless you run real high psi. They have a yellow plastic ring on them that keep the hose from blowing off.

The truck looks good man but you need to clean up that wiring and plumbing.

baggedfrontier
01-12-2009, 10:24 PM
whats wrong with the plumbing??? and whats the point in cleaning it all up when im going to have a raised bedfloor covering it so no one can see it????

y not do it right instead of jsut covering up crap?? just my opinion

baggedfrontier
01-12-2009, 10:47 PM
im not doing the bedfloor just to cover it up...i wanted a bedfloor...i know the wiring isnt the best but whats wrong with the plumbing????

pugz
01-12-2009, 11:13 PM
those lines are prolly always gonna leak. if not cool... but im betting on they will. and why not clean it up before covering it up? knowing that your truck is solid in every way is a good feeling.

baggedfrontier
01-12-2009, 11:15 PM
ive check all the lines and they do not leak...the wiring i understand is not as clean as it could be...but hey this is my first mini truck man...im a pup trying to run with the big dogs bro hahaha

beebani
01-12-2009, 11:27 PM
You're using rubber hose with hose clamps, no way that's gonna work out in the long run. It may not leak now, but it will after you start driving around and jarring it loose. That shit was made for garden sprayers. Not trying to be harsh, just giving you the facts.

baggedfrontier
01-12-2009, 11:30 PM
dude the facts is...thats not garden hose....its shop hose rated at 300 p.s.i

quit trying to fuck wit young people...im sorry i cant afford steel braided line but that not some fuckin garden hose

beebani
01-12-2009, 11:33 PM

quit trying to fuck wit young people...im sorry i cant afford steel braided line but that not some fuckin garden hose

So much for giving people friendly advice...

baggedfrontier, the thing is... These guys aren't dogging on you. They're trying to steer you in the right direction. Nobody's saying that the line is going to rupture or burst, they're saying that the soft line like what's on your truck is just that.. Soft line. It's great for air compressors, etc, but on a truck... It's just not up to par! The hose for air ride setups is a hard plastic line that will not bend or pull like the soft line on your truck. Plus the hose clamps will pull off very easily. It's not a dig towards you, just friendly advice from guys that want to see your truck done right. Trust me.. Back when I was 16 I had air shocks on the back of mine rigged up with a tank and compressor using that soft line.. I know, I've been there.. And it just doesn't last!

edit: The hard line really isn't that expensive. You can pick it up at O'Reilly's.. Just ask them for 1/2" or 3/8" hose.. It's black, they usually have it on a roll of 100'.

Sorry man didn't mean to offend, just trying to say what has already been said by every one else. I have been there too and just wanted to give you a head's up. Next time I will explain my self so I don't come off as an ass hat.

The shop hose rated at 300psi is more than enough. Its the connections that tend to leak! Even with compression fittings, leaking can occur due to an unstraight cut.
If you're covering it up I wouldnt worry about making it pretty, but making it reliable. It would suck to cover it up and have to keep getting in there to adjust connections.
Its not that you're young, you said yourself this is you 1st mini... its more experience. You can learn from some of our mistakes! :thumb:

hey what material is your floor?? looks good!!!

i used cypress wood and cross braced it underneath and then used and acrylic paint so it would stick to the wood well and not crack in weather

is the bed floor almost to the bed rails?
is your bed still functionong?

is stretches to all sides of the bed rails with about a 1/4 inch gap to beable to lift it....and yes my tailgate still folds down without interfering
