i got a 1991 nissan hb.
and i want a new engine in it
so it sounds more intimidating and because i need a new one anyways.
so what would be good? and do-able.

depends on how much money and work you are willing to spend on it.

same engine is just swapping it out. larger engine would include the tranny, radiator among other things.

vk56 might not fit...i mean i dont know, never seen it done...you might have to refab you firewall...

maybe you should recon your current motor or drop another in thats the same and add some "go fast" bits.

any reason you want to swap it out for something else?

an engine swap is gonig to cost money no matter what.so maybe look at how much you can afford to spend,then decide how to spend it,expensive motor+ no fancy parts. or cheaper motor and dress it up some more.

yea i saw a sr20det for like 3000 with alot of upgrades..
and i liked it bt i just wana kno da options
im tryna keep it under 5k now so idk

i was quoted 1500 just for the labor, but i also have a few more thing that im gonna do to the sr before the swap...we are aim for 450 hp

That is the plan:nana2:


The SR swap is pretty much straight forward with really minor mods to make it fit. But you will need to shorten your driveshaft or just get a one piece shaft made.

Some cutting and welding is involved to do a V8 swap though

or use the truck trans with the sr bellhousing.
