Joe, I'm a licensed, certified Wooden Boat Shipwright, with 20 years experience.
I grew up in Massachusetts. I have Dual passports, and as a US Citizen I'm eligible to work in the states.Every March or April I go back East to work, during the ramp up to boating season.
Gabriola has a very limited economy.
I can Make $15 to 18 thousand dollars in a couple of months depending on the project. I've worked in Virginia, North Carolina, Maine, Mass, and Rhode Island.
The Mayflower restoration, Mystic Seaport in Connecticut, and the Herreshoff Museum in Bristol, Rhode Island.
I'm currently doing a couple of small projects outside Boston for a private owner. Weather has been an issue, so it's been slow.
I Left the truck with my brother last time. Noticed the frame rust through this past week. So parting it out.

That sounds like a pretty cool job!

Software development never requires me to go near the water. :(

Wow, I’d love to see some pictures of your work. Makes truck building seem like child’s play.

Sweet looking door panels, too! I paid around $200 to get my door panels mailed to me in Texas.

Your best bet for picture hosting is Imgur dot com (https://imgur.com/). No ads, real quick, easy loading, easy to use.

Photobucket should rename itself Photo-CrapIt.

What a nice looking (red) D21. It's a damn shame about the frame and all. Really. I didn't even know some of those bench seats had a fold down center like that.

I wrecked my 87 regular cab and found a beautiful 87 KC with a blown engine ($700) and swapped the entire drivetrain, entire wire harness and speedometer head to the 87KC and gave it to my son. I'm sure you could find another rust free truck fairly cheap and put all your good parts on the other truck. It would be worth it because of the low mileage and keep it. Did the whole thing in two days. JMO FWIW

Woah. That bench seat is simply awesome but could be a bit far for me.
I'm just south of you in the Puget sound near Seattle but that's far from MA.
How much for that exhaust system &/or Bench seat to 98070?

This is a great idea and I took your advice, and starting looking for something to do a transplant, but New England is really Hard on these trucks. Amazingly, I actually found a rust free replacement with slightly more miles. So I went that route. Thanks for the help.

I would like to say, that in terms of pulling parts, I'm moving a little slow.
So be patient. I'll pull stuff as quickly as I can.
Heavier stuff may take longer.

I'm not looking to make a "Killing", but shipping seems to be a real bitch; price wise.
(I can't ship an engine to Illinois, nor a bumper to Washington Sate.)

I'm also using craiglist, so some things may go locally.

Here's what I'm trying to do:
1) This is(was) an awesome little truck; I drove a 22 year old Nissan Hardbody from Vancouver Island to Massachusetts in the month of March without a problem (except for freezing my ass off in Idaho and then again in Illinois-Couldn't keep the engine heat up).
2) I would hate to see this truck just go to the wreckers. I made a point of keeping it well maintained and serviced.( I've seen too many good wooden boats get scrapped because some dimwit didn't do the same).
3) Everything is negotiable. I'm willing to take less to balance out the shipping costs.
4) I would just as soon get stuff out to people who need it as see it go to the junkers( Just my nature).
5) My Daughter stole this truck from me when she was going to Carpentry School at Vancouver Island University(actually I let her), and she wanted to know when I was Bringing it back!. Her response, when I told her I had bought a new(another?) one was "I can't wait to drive it" That won't happen until next Summer. She can patiently wait.

There it is in a nutshell.

Be proactive make an offer, and I will do the best I can.

The cover is for a Column shift automatic.
Doesn't seem to be many of these trucks with the column shift around.
If you can use it, let me know.
I thought my initial post had mentioned that it was for a column shift.

The parts truck doesn't have rear windows, unless you are speaking of the pass through window.

I got a tilt column cover that would have worked after I swapped out the steel mounting hardware inside, but it turned out the guy sold me a cover set that had the plastic studs AND the caps where the screws go busted off.

In other words, I'm willing to try it.

Yes I did respond.
It is an aftermarket sunroof (Inalfa). So doesn't have the shade.
