I highly doubt that's ben's doing. That's just what happens when you leave the site alone without any administration for weeks at a time.

Similar viruses had been showing up regularly for the last several months. There was a plan to upgrade to a better server on another host but it never happened.

The best thing to do is to keep your virus software up to date and it will catch those problems as they occur. Which is pretty basic advice for anyone who is connected to the internet anyway.

Definitely avoid Internet Explorer. Use Firefox and you are much safer when on the web. 73% of you are using internet explorer. i hope everyone's virus protection is up to date with that large of a percentage.

This is another reason this site will follow the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) approach. the more hacks and code edits you do to a forum, the more holes you open up to security risks. this is why i have not implemented a lot of available hacks/features. i do not feel the rewards are worth the risks.

I've been a firefox user for years :) NoScript is awesome, too. It would benefit to avoid Winblows all together, but for some that won't happen.

Yes this issue has been known and I have made mention of it. On ben's behalf, I do know that that was not an intentional or malice act...A lot rests on the server. Ben had been looking to move the site for a while. Even using Firefox though my home computer was infected by one of the attacks, it was easily removed though...thankful for that. I caught a major virus on my stores computer ...not due to NC, and had to wipe the system. As far as that site goes though until someone is there to give the place some care it will only get worse.
