any sites, forums, videos, whatever that ya'll can reccomend for learning upholstery? if there is a "how to wrap around curved panels without making it look like shit" video, that's pretty much what i'm in need of right now.

Yeah man...compound curves suck...especially if you are working with a material that does not stretch worth a damn.

If you are doing vinyl, just spend a few more bucks and get the good shit that stretches like a motherfucker. Tweed....same deal. If you are doing ultra suede or a material like that you want to start in the middle on the highest ridge and just work your way out toward the edges. It's more trial and error than anything else. Just go slow and breathe deep....you'll get it main.

yes the stretchyer the cloth you use the mo better. Just make sure you cut it big enuf and notch it a little along the curves pull that shit tight and streched you should be fine with some good adhesive. 3m is ok but i got a galoon of shit from an upholstery shop that blow 3m out of the water!!

i am no expert but I have done a few curved panels not to badly. Stretchy! mo better

dude 3m can kiss my ass. i got the weldwood contact cement now, and it's a huge difference.... lol.. a pint can costs about the same as the 3m spray did. if the rain stops i'll redo my headliner tomorrow, i should be able to just re-glue it...

on another note, i need to go to home depot again and buy some wood to make a box and amp rack...both of my amps are here now...
