My nephew is looking for a new amp to run his two kicker cvr 15's. Hes been looking around on the net for something in the 700-1kw range. He's on a tight budget so the cheaper the better. Mono block is ok...so is a-b, etc.
Post up some links to online 12v equipment sites that you trust and have equipment for fairly decent prices. He's open to brands, as long as it's not boss, jbc, or over power rated junk.

crutchfield has deals from time to time too, you can beat their prices even w/their deals, but you get a warranty.
www.partsexpress.com has cheap wiring...
and, of course, the great ebay...everything but my deck has come from ebay.

if youre talking about the sundown, that amp is too much for 2 cvr's , the new 1000d will be ok ;)

Looks like it's gonna be the almighty fleabay. He did some searching around and found a kicker 750.1. It's a factory refurb but he's looking at 209 shipped to the door. 2 year warranty, and it's going to beat the shit out of his old crunch that he had. I never did like that amp and tried to talk him out of it when he first got his system stuff last year.
Thanks for all the links guys. I'm going to do some more checking at the rest of the sites and see if I can't find a better fit for him...but that one amp for under 300 is going to be hard to beat.
His budget is 300-350..broke ass teenager budget.

ive honestly never blown a sub thermally.
ive had 2 mechanical failures from overexcursion tho. and thats out of 25+ woofers.
but seriously, i have spares. and the motor on the BTL just intrigues me. i want to touch. . .

Out of all the years I have had woofers, I honestly have only blown a couple of them. They were some 12" PYLE subs. I would pound the hell out of them. I had a plywood box made with a sealed enclosure. Drove around one night for about 2 hours straight. Man did my ears bother me the next day.
Voice coils got screwed up. Took one back and got a new one with no questions asked. Couple months later, the other one went. After that, no more problems. Now tweets is another story all together. Blown plenty of those.
pyle is only sold at flea markets and pawn shops now from what i see. jsut like pyramid. its low end stuff. but if set up right sounds decent. ive had plenty of boss amps in my time. and never had a problem out of them.
on a side note.....
im looking for some headrest mount screens for my daily. it been a while since ive bought tvs so who makes decent cheap screens. i dont see the point in spending 400 a screen when they all have the same shitty resoloution.
