license plate location in tailgate

What up peeps? I decided I'm gonna shave my tailgate and I need ya'lls opinion on where to mount my license plate. I'm not a fan of the angled look, so

Bottom driver side?
Bottom center?
Bottom passenger side?

OR

Middle driver side?
Middle center?
Middle passenger side?

This is what it looks like now, but everytime I look at it I just can't stand the big buldge on the top of the tailgate....

I've already got a smooth tailgate skin and a rounded corner license plate box on the way from CANDO, what do you think?

I'd check your state regs to see if there is a minimum tag height requirement. Most places have one, and its just giving johnny-po-po another reason to be on your ass.

I like centered tags myself.

What I was gonna do with my old HB was have it at an angle in the middle of the bodyline and have the bodyline follow the outline of the tag.

SWSCHZ how did you do your pop up LP? I want to do one just dont want to pay for the kit.

i used a rear power window reg from a pathy...bolt it in using stokc reg brackets.then made a bracket to adapt from the reg slide to the LP,wired it in and away you go....

i used a rear reg because the are short than the fron ones and thus dont protrude above the tray.

wiring is a piece of cake,use a double throw switch with momentary ons,wire up power to the middle 2 prongs,then on one circuit ground the top prong and wire to reg on bottom prong,then on the other circuit,reverse it,ie ground bottom prong and wire to reg on top prong.

yell out if that doesnt make sense(prolly doesnt but hey,i tried)

i was just thinking of using it like a window (hold switch till its all the way up) but itll be better if i could automate it.

I'm gonna have to re-skin it, to get that buldge bull-shit off there. The only problem with putting it back where it is now is I don't have any room to mount a handle on the inside.
